XBinder is an XML schema to C/C++ data binding compiler. Evaluation versions are available for Windows, Linux, and various UNIX platforms. See below for specific system requirements.


XBinder v1.5.x      

Version 1.5.x is is the current release of the XBinder version. New features in this release include the following:

• New and improved open source GUI's. In addition to the standard wizard-type GUI included in past releases is a basic XML schema editor GUI. This allows for simple editing of XML schema files and allows syntax or other errors detected by XBinder to be highlighted for correction. The generated files can also be viewed.
• Generation of functions for validating XSD entity constraints (xsd:key, xsd:keyref, and xsd:unique).
• Support for different character encodings (UTF-8, UTF-16, and ISO-8859-1) when decoding document with the pull-parser. Previous versions just supported UTF-8.
• XSD annotation documentation fields are now added as comments to the generated C/C++ header files.
• W3C Efficient XML interchange (EXI) API's and utility programs have been updated to be compliant with the EXI Last Call Working Draft.
• The -genMakeDLL and -genMakeLib options were added to allow generation of makefiles that could be build a Windows DLL (or UNIX shared object file) or a static library respectively.
• A free demo version of XBinder was created with limited capabilities that could be used without restriction.
